re: the Pulsator Siren of the NYPD, this link provides a link to you tube where the siren can be viewed and heard, this is an actual siren that was in service.

these sirens were awesome, with the pulsating effect of the siren and the echoing back from the buildings, they would stop traffic almost dead, so that the RMPs could "slalom" through traffice |
